TOSTONES 

Ingredients: â€‹
Directions: 

3 large green unripened plantains 

I cup water at room temperature 

1/4 cup kosher salt 

Sea salt to taste

Vegetable oil for frying 

In a large bowl dissolve kosher salt into water, reserve salt mixture. Peel plantains and cut each into roughly one-inch thick pieces.Over medium heat, fry plantains until golden brown, not fully cooked about 1-3 minutes on each side. removed from oil and allow to cool slightly.

Using a tortilla press, flatten plantains into a rustic circle.

Once all plantains are flattened quickly dip into salt mixture and turn onto paper towel to remove excess water. Refry flattened plantains until crispy. Drain excess oil and sprinkle with sea salt. Serve with condiment of your choice (Pairs well with guacamole or spicy mayonnaise)
